What is Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana?
The state government starts many schemes from time to time for daughters’ education. For example, the government brought the Aapki Beti Humari Beti Yojana for the daughters of Haryana. This scheme came into existence in the year 2015. Under this scheme, all those girls of Haryana born on or after January 22, 2015, will be provided financial assistance of ₹ 21000. In addition, the beneficiary will get financial aid after 18 years of age. Also, if another daughter is born in the family, she will get financial assistance of ₹ 5000 for five years. The objective of this scheme is to reduce the ratio between boys and girls and prevent crimes like feticide.
Under Aapki Beti Humari Beti Yojana, the Haryana government provides financial assistance of ₹ 21000 on the birth of a daughter. However, under this scheme, an amount of ₹ 21000 is not provided on the birth of a daughter. Rather, the birth of a daughter is insured for ₹ 21000, which is given to the daughter after 18 years. The scheme aims to remove negative thinking about daughters.
Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana is administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. In Haryana’s district, Kurukshetra 12046 daughters have been benefited.
Under this scheme, the government will also give financial assistance on the birth of a second daughter. The beneficiary must be a permanent resident of Haryana. -The daughter should belong to SC, ST or BPL category.
