Students who excel academically but fall below the poverty level find it extremely difficult to register for courses with hefty fees. Hence the Government of Andhra Pradesh has developed the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme to help these candidates. We shall discuss significant components of the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme in today’s post. We’ll also go through how to register for the plan in this piece. We’ll also walk you through a step-by-step approach to checking the scheme’s beneficiary list. We’ll also lay out the scheme’s eligibility requirements.

Scholarships will be awarded to all qualifying candidates under the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme. The government intends to let students study all of their selected courses without performing any duties or part-time jobs. Therefore the scholarship would be given to all the poverty threshold categories of students. The award will assist students in continuing their studies and becoming great individuals in the future. The scholarship is being implemented as quickly as feasible by the government.

Under the YSR Vasathi Deevana Scheme, the Government of Andhra Pradesh offers scholarships to deserving students. Several students who did not obtain a benefit amount under this plan due to various factors would now receive one. Under this initiative, the Andhra Pradesh government has distributed Rs 19.92 lakh to 31940 students. Under different welfare initiatives, a total of Rs 703 crore has been put into the accounts of 9.30 lakh beneficiaries.

Every year in June and December, the government of Andhra Pradesh pays cash benefits to the remaining recipients. This year, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh launched the program from his camp office in Tadepalli on December 28, 2021. He also mentioned that while the government’s revenue has decreased due to the coronavirus, the government hasn’t ceased distributing benefits under different social initiatives.

Students enrolled in the following classes are eligible to apply:

  • Polytechnic

The goal that will be achieved when the program is implemented is to reduce the number of students who drop out during their higher learning phase. The following are the numbers of recipients in various courses in various cities: –

The system will give a vast range of advantages. The following is a list of the benefits provided by the scheme: –

  • For students studying the following courses, there is a tuition charge and a hostel fee:
  • Engineering degree, for example.
  • The students would get a stipend of Rs 20,000 per annum.
  • Payments of the mess are waived for candidates residing in the hostels in Welfare.
  • The following are the financial incentives: Rs 15,000 for Polytechnic students.

In Andhra Pradesh State, the initiative will be introduced very soon. The scheme’s inauguration ceremony was held at Vizianagaram on February 24, 2020. Again, for implementing this scheme, a budget of Rs 2300 crores has been aside. The plan’s monies allocation will be made directly to the beneficiary’s mother. If the beneficiary’s mother is unavailable, the monies will be paid immediately to the legal guardian’s bank account.

The state government has given the second payment of Andhra Pradesh’s Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2022. Jagan Mohan Reddy has distributed Rs. 1,048.94 crores to 10,89,302 recipients. Each ITI student received Rs 10000, Polytechnic students received Rs 15000, and Degree Pursuing Students received Rs 15000 under the Jagananna Vasathi, Deevena Scheme. The Andhra Pradesh government transferred this sum via direct benefits transfer.
