Primary objectives of Skill India Mission

The primary and number one objective of the Skill India Development program is to help India develop the skills of the youth and the general public and create better jobs and job opportunities for the 40 crore youth of the country by 2022. The main aim is to develop the skills of the country’s individuals to help develop the nation in ways that are more about creating a skilled India and less about just job creation. Job creation, along with proper training programs, helps in the proper development of the country.

Talent development is the very first objective of the country and creates opportunities for the country’s youth that will, in turn, lead to a more scoped future. The better scope of the future for job creation in the country gives way for the development of the underdeveloped sector of the country. Therefore, it becomes the secondary motive of the initiative. The skill development and the development of underdeveloped sections of the job market will give way for the youth and the general public to find jobs in an already competitive market. The creation and development occur with added assistance from the NSDC or National Skill Development Corporation of India.

The courses under Skill India Mission

The main aim of the Skill India Mission is the development of skills across the Indian citizens, especially the youth. For India to do that, the initiative has taken many courses that help the youth in broadly developing the skills of the Indian citizens. The courses are planned, structured, and made in ways that would ultimately assist the citizens in developing their skills and be trained in ways that would further help them in the future. The courses provided under the Skill India Mission are broadly and in a structure been divided and assembled into five broad categories that are mentioned below:

Management and development programs – The subjects or courses under the management and development programs will include financial statement analysis, marketing of managers, modern office practices, and other practices that help in the management of any firm.

Training of trainers – The programs that will help individuals get recognized and be a part of their status in society will assist individuals in courses about technology infusion, EM trainers and training, and other programs.

Entrepreneurship development programs – Entrepreneurship development programs are all about developing the skills for maintaining essential responsibilities. Therefore, the first objective of entrepreneurship development programs is to provide courses about corporate social responsibility or CSR, women empowerment, or women entrepreneurial development programs, and other activities that help in social development skills.

Skill development programs – The skill development programs help individuals develop courses that help them in skill development such as carpentry, fashion designing, employee skill development programs based on the dairy industry, and other skills.

Other skills – One of the main motives of the Skill India Mission is providing India with the skills that are important for entrepreneurial aims and dreams and developing skills

necessary for the same. Other skills courses give candidates the micro and macro entrepreneurial management skills, lending strategies for Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of India, and other vital courses about entrepreneurial skills.

Conclusion

The Skill India Mission helps build a future for India based on skills and its development attitude that is followed not just in some states but all over the country.
