Exchange Offering Prospectus (EOP)

Exchange Offering Prospectus (EOP) or Exchange Offer Prospectus is a type of prospectus by which a company can extend its prospectus offering through a stock exchange, rather than going through the traditional way of issuance to the public. The Initial Public Offering method is exercised by most of the companies for listing their securities on the Stock Exchanges. This requires these companies to come up with a Prospectus to be shared with the general public with a set of guidelines to be followed and rules to be complied with. Exchange Offering Prospectus, on the other hand, means the prospectus included in the Exchange Offer Registration Statement, directly issued on the Stock Exchange, including any preliminary prospectus, final prospectus or any supplement. The company then applies to list the securities on the said exchange directly.
